The ducky pillow

So this is the ducky pillow I made for Charlie's niece earlier this week, but I didn't want to post pictures of it until I gave it to them. As it turns out they all loved it. *Happy* I'm glad I got it right!
So here are the pictures:

And here is my first crazy attempt and free motion quilting on the back XD. But funnily enough that was one of the first things I got compliments on for :)

Ceative? Maybe. Funny? Definately.

So today I made egg salad sandwiches for the boys.I cracked all the eggs into a bowl, but had to pause after three as soon as I saw this:

A pintsized (http://www.questionablecontent.net) face in my pink mixing bowl. I laughed so hard and had to make a picture to share, no idea who would enjoy this as well but here it is just in case.

Repurposing this blog

I have discovered that it is simply too difficult/annoying to try and make a heart every day. It has no longer been part fun, part forcing myself, but all forcing myself. This is why I am repurposing my blog. I have decided that it will now dedicate this blog to any part of creativity in my life, whether it's painting, a pretty cloud in the sky or one of my quilt projects. I think that this way the blog can return to its original purpose to just emphasize the creativity that is making my life better.
I will try to keep as much creativity in my life as possible and share it with all of you (or at least Lauren # 1, because I KNOW she's reading ;))

So here is a picture of an acrylic painting I did on canvas. I tried to make dandelions since they are my favorite flowers, but it looks much more like a hippie tie die shirt. XD

And here is the second attempt with oil paint on canvas. I think it turned out a bit better.

These are the last two things I made. I actually just made the second painting yesterday. I finished a pretty quilt and will be posting pictures of it as soon as it has arrived as its recipient's. At the moment I am working on a cute ducky pillow for Charlie's niece, but I am really hating the pattern. I am pretty sure I will not buy another book from that author. I have to reread the patterns over and over and am still unsure as to wether I am doing it right or not. I think I know what I have to do, but in the worst case it will just have a bit more of a Bella touch to it than not.

Too much to do, too little time

There has been so much to do! I have been practically living at work. It's gotten me pretty close to having a burn-out. Right now I actually have some time off (2 whole days!?!). I had so many plans to work on my quilts and let out my creativity. But then I got sick instead. So I just spent the day on the couch.
Today I got a lot done.  I'm roasting a turkey, I baked rolls and cookies, I get to have friends over, and I actually made myself a dandelion painting :)
